Measuring
Measuring consists of camparing an object’s dimensions to an established standard. Traditional units of measurement, such as cubits, ells and inches were all based on the dimensions of the human body. Despite this relationship to the human form, woodworking has largely remained a matter of straight lines, right angles and circles. Accurate measuring tools are the first requirement for successful woodworking.
